Selection and input

Question input

QuestionInput — exported from the library at `src/components/forms/QuestionInput.tsx`. Awaiting a written description.
Available
Ports as-is

Examples

Rendered live from the maintained Storybook story. Lantern stores only the story id and embeds Storybook rather than duplicating the component or its demo.

Rendered live from Storybook

Storybook must be running for this to load — bun run start:storybook from the monorepo root, or set NEXT_PUBLIC_STORYBOOK_URL to a deployed instance.

Props

The component's public API, read from its TypeScript source. Descriptions come from TSDoc on the prop, so this table cannot drift from the component.

PropTypeDefaultDescription
field*FormField—Undocumented — add TSDoc to the prop in the library.
valueFormAnswerValue""Undocumented — add TSDoc to the prop in the library.
onChange(v: FormAnswerValue) => void—Undocumented — add TSDoc to the prop in the library.
readOnlybooleanfalseUndocumented — add TSDoc to the prop in the library.
editableOptionsbooleanfalseUndocumented — add TSDoc to the prop in the library.
onOptionsChange(options: FormFieldOption[]) => void—Undocumented — add TSDoc to the prop in the library.
generateOptionId(index: number) => string(index) => `opt-${index + 1}`Id for an option added through the editor, given the current option count. Upstream this was `opt-${Math.random().toString(36).slice(2, 7)}`. Random ids are barred from ported components: every render of a story that adds an option would produce different markup, so nothing could be snapshotted or compared. The default is positional and stable; the app passes its own generator when it needs collision-proof ids.
